The tales of Danielle (my girlfriend) and Kris (myself) as we enjoy ourselves in sunny San Francisco.

A few weekends ago, I went back to Seattle to help with a black belt test for my Dojo. It was a great weekend that resulted in 3 new black belts, and 2 new second degree black belts.

I don’t have any pictures for you unfortunately as the class is closed, we actually lock the door, and if you get in anyway, we throw your butt out.  I just want you to know, that your black belt test, should you ever be able to attain one is the hardest, longest, and nastiest event of your life. I’m amazed anyone actually shows up for theirs, and is able to survive.

Afterwards, we went out to Mr Alvarez’s house. (Sensei Alvarez to some of you) and we had some Thai food his lovely wife made for us, and watched the UFC fights.

The next day we had a clinic that was open to everyone and did some fancier, more enjoyable stuff. Wrist techniques, throwing, killing, that kinda stuff. This was followed up by dinner at the Taphouse, and then we went over to the Cinema to watch Kung Fu Panda.

I was really excited ever since I’d heard the title of this movie, even though I never knew what it was about. Panda’s, Kung Fu, whats not to like?

And of course, this movie rocked, I seriously recommend it to everyone. Though I wish Jackie Chan was able to get more time.

To finish off the trip (I was only there Friday night, to Monday early morning) I went over to Mr Moran’s house and we rocked out while playing rock band. Best of all, we ordered pizza and just hung out and chatted for a while. Super fun.
