The tales of Danielle (my girlfriend) and Kris (myself) as we enjoy ourselves in sunny San Francisco.

North Beach Festival

Over this last weekend, we went to the North Beach Festival. I do have a few pictures from this event, but they are at home on the Camera, so you get el`zilcho.

It was fun, yet super small, and pretty pedestrian. Some good blues music, pretty good food, and decent booths to look at, but no actual happenings. Yawn.

Castro

One of our favorite places is the Castro, which is where we went on Saturday. We were expecting to go to the castro for Breakfast, then make our way over to the North Beach Festival, but we had this enormous breakfast and then got SUPER tired afterwards. Here is the rundown on what we got from Orphan Andy’s.

Kris

Danielle

Yea it was AWESOME, but we crashed and felt like napping almost immediatly. To counteract the effect we walked around the castro for an hour, then got a M&M Rice Krispy Treat and a Chocolate Chip cookie at Hot Cookie, and split them on our way home.

Yea it was an insane eating day.

The Strangers

After breakfast, Danielle took a nap, I relaxed, then we went and saw the Strangers. Danielle of course loves scary movies, and I’m not such a fan, yet since this was the first one that had a score about 20% on rotten tomatoes I relented.

What can I really say about scary movies? It had a good feel to it, but I was still frustrated at the characters in the movie for not just going ape shit on the strangers. If I’m ever in a horror movie, I’ll either be the guy that lives in the end by killing the invincible monster, or the jock who gets it in the first 10 minutes of the movie.

Palomino

We also walked over to Palomino after the Strangers and had dinner. I was quite surprised at their quality. The Caesar Salad was great, and their pasta was very delish. The best part was the warm relaxing atmosphere. Nice comfy chairs, view of the bay. Totally sweet after seeing a scary movie on a Saturday night.
